Is the fat removal permanent?Despite claims of some physicians, there is no treatment that can permanently remove ALL the fat cells in a given area of the body. A thin layer of fat cells will remain in areas treated with any excess fat removal procedure. The best way to keep the fat off is to continue exercise and watch one's diet. What is recovery like?After the treatment, you can expect minimal pain and/or bruising. A pressure dressing or a compression garment is required depending on the location of the treated area. The compression dressing or garment helps to decrease the swelling. The bruising disappears in 2-3 days and most all individuals are able to resume their normal activities within 24 hours. The mild ache can be relieved with over the counter pain medications. We recommend 1-2 days rest, but some patients are able to return to work immediately. When do I see results?Results can be seen immediately with continued improvement over several months. Soon after the procedure, the treated area will appear tighter, more compact, and smaller.
